Dance/Pilates Private Sessions
About
These days, many of us are adjusting to a new way of life. This includes modifications in our exercise routines. Now more than ever, making time for fitness and keeping a consistant routine is extremely beneficial for mental health and coping with lifestyle changes. I consider myself to be creative and motivating when developing workouts to do from home. We don't need a gym, we don't need lots of space! Our bodies are enough. Together we can "feel the burn", we can "break a sweat", or we can have a therapeutic "feel good" hour. Whatever is needed by the body and the mind.
Why a Pilates Emphasis?
-Uses the full body
-Compatible with all ages and conditions
-Balances and tones muscles
-Lengthens while it strengthens
-Full ranges of motion
-Engages the deep, small muscles that are often inactive in traditional strength training
-Gentle on joints
-Focuses on a mind-body connection for a more effective workout
-Places an importance on proper posture, form, and technique during movements
-Excellent cross training for all types of athletes
My favorite aspect of both teaching and working 1-on-1 is getting to see the improvements of my students and clients. I'm not talking about before and afters, I'm talking about the gradual progress, the changes in mindset, the excitement and pride of feeling better about themselves on the inside as well as feeling better physically. Healing happens through movement, so I place a special emphasis on correct alignment and body mechanics to prevent injury and take care of the body.
