Upon official sign up we provide the Gi (uniform) and belt.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Sensei Alfonso is a black belt with multiple certifications through the Shito-kai Association. He has been doing Traditional Japanese Karate since the age of 5 and has mastered multiple styles.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$85.00 per month on a month to month plan
$75.00 per month with a 6 month commitment
$65.00 per month with a 12 month commitment
How did you get started teaching?
Sensei Alfonso has been doing Traditional Japanese Karate since the age of 5 and with Shito-Ryu since the age of 11. He has a love for Karate that he wants to share with others.
What types of students have you worked with?
Kids ages 4 and up, Teens, and Adults. Everyone from beginners to advanced students. Some students have come from other martial art styles and others have no martial arts experience at all.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who cares about what they are teaching, not someone just looking to collect money from you. The Sensei needs to teach not the "helpers" or other students. If you have to work hard to move up in belt rank then you have earned it!
