I teach positive and productive lessons in acoustic guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, songwriting, and music theory.
My goal is to bring the best out of beginning to advanced musicians using a holistic and minimalist musical approach -- you only learn what you really need to know.
Can you pick up an instrument and play "Happy Birthday" in a key suited to your voice? I can show you how.
Need theory tutoring? Notes are just A-B-C's and 1-2-3's, and I want to make it make sense to you. Let music theory be your friend, not your enemy.
Interested in songwriting? I can show you techniques for improving your technical and creative writing skills in any musical style.

I enjoy nothing more than teaching someone how to play an instrument... and I'm very good at it.
I have experience as a teacher, band director, and singer-songwriter-guitarist, and have performed with orchestras, concert bands, folk and bluegrass groups, chamber ensembles, rock bands and pep bands, as well as musical theatre.
Lee is a fantastic music teacher, very patient, kind, and super knowledgable about all things music. I have been a challenging music student my entire life and she got me past all of my hang-ups and down the path of becoming a proficient bass guitar player late in life. Her past music experience is vast and really enriches the learning experience.
