Breanna Hummitzsch Competitive And Recreational Swim Lessons
About
Hi everyone! My name is Breanna and I have been a swimmer since I was 7 years old. Throughout my swim career I have earned 2 high school records and 1 college record. I am currently 24 and work as a lifeguard and swim coach for Premier Aquatics with a USA Swimming Coaching Card Certification and 3 years of coaching experience. This sport is something that is extremely close to my heart and I hope to give the same love I feel when I get in the pool to all my students. I wouldn't know where I would be without the joy and dedication swimming has given me and I use that passion to guide young kids.
My favorite part of the work I do is that I get to see kids progress and the smile on their face when they do something in the pool that they never thought was possible.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Any new student will begin by working on water safety such as what to do if you find yourself not being able to get to the wall and are tired. Then we work on Freestyle, starting with building kick technique and power and getting comfortable with our head under the water. The last step is to learn arms and side breathing and building stamina to be safe in the water for longer distance. More advanced lessons will go on to learn backstroke, breaststroke, and possibly butterfly.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been doing swimming lessons for 8 years privately and have been coaching club swim teams for 3 years. I am also in training to become an elementary school teacher at USC.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rate is $30 for a 30 minute lessons and $45 for 45 minute lessons. 30 minute lessons are encouraged for younger kids who do not have a lot of energy.
How did you get started teaching?
Before I was old enough to start working, I trained as a junior coach for my swim team and loved every minute of it! Once I became a coach I realized that there was nothing better in life that helping someone achieve a goal that they never thought they would achieve and that’s when I decided I wanted to become a full time teacher.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with ages 3-30 at all different levels of swimming abilities from no experience at all to Junior Olympic and Collegiate level athletes. I have also worked with adults looking to learn to swim.
