About
One on one ballet and pointe class. I focus on placement and detailed ballet technique. I also enjoy teaching adult ballet students who are first time students as well as young dancers starting at age 3. We will work to strengthen your turnout, increase flexibilty and fluidity.
I enjoy seeing students build confidence and artistry. I love when student began to approach a combination with fearlessness and they began to develop stage presence.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first invite the student to do a consulting lesson with me and we talk about their goals and technique. I then make my reccomendation and we set up a taliored plan fitted with their concerns and scheduling.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied ballet for more than 20 years, I attended San Diego City Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem and other schools on Scholarships. I currently dance professionaly. I have also won dance solo competitons. But those things aren't what makes me a teacher worth hiring.
I spent years as a group exercise instructor and a personal trainer. That's where I learned how to help motivate and focus clients. Once I began to study placement training through pedigogy Vaganova (soviet era). I applied it to my own texhnique and noticed huge improvements in every aspect of my ballet technique. I taught my friends, who also improved quickly and avoided injuries. And now I teach my students how to truly apply placement as the basis of all of their dance technique.
