Jenny Ivanovna
About
My name is Jenny Ivanovna, and I am a professional mezzo soprano, voice teacher, and experienced opera and concert performer with 15 years of teaching experience.
Before moving to Milpitas, I taught in Fort Worth, Texas, where I ran a private studio and served as the Voice Professor at Fort Worth Music Academy. Now settled in the Bay Area, I am grateful to be teaching in this community.
I work with students of all ages and levels, from beginners discovering their voice to advanced singers preparing auditions or performances. I teach in English and Spanish, and I coach repertoire in French, German, Italian, English, and Spanish.
My teaching focuses on healthy vocal technique, musical expression, and building confidence. Lessons are shaped around each student’s goals and personality, and can be playful, structured, or artistically focused. I teach a wide range of styles, including Opera, Lieder, Art Song, Musical Theatre, Latin Art Music, Pop, Rock, and more, so every student can explore the music they love while developing a strong and expressive voice.
What defines my approach is the blend of my professional performance background with a warm, patient, and encouraging teaching style. I believe every voice is unique, and I love helping students grow in a way that feels natural and empowering.
My intention is to make singing an enjoyable, inspiring, and confidence building experience for anyone who wants to develop their voice.
