Before I met Gus the only kitchen utilities I knew how to use were the fridge, the toaster and the microwave. I recently started college and with my expenses I have needed to reduce the amount of times I go out and get fast food. Gus' lessons have been invaluable in teaching me how to cook all kinds of delicious food. I can definitely see why they call him the food mystic. He taught me how to make one of the best burgers I have ever eaten in my life. The burger is seasoned with salt and lemon pepper, cooked to medium-well (how I like it) in a pan and topped with lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup, and mustard. It is a delicious burger that pops with flavor from the lemon pepper cooked into the juicy meat. I have made this burger for my friends and they told me that they really enjoyed it. Gus has also taught me how to cook a variety of tasty breakfast foods such as: Bacon, eggs, french toast and omelettes. The spinach omelette with bacon that he intruscted me how to cook was spectacular. Cooking with Gus doesn't feel stressful or overwhelming, it feels like hanging out with a friend. He is an experienced and very capable chef who has taught me so many things about food I never would have known without him.
He is very through and very obsarvant. He is a talented a chef and every move he makes is a lesson to learn. Working with him doesn’t feel like work cause you can feel the passion he implements in his work.
I enjoyed Gus’s easy approach to complex items like food combining, purchasing, and the addition of complimentary herbs and spices. I would study with him again.
Gus is a food alchemist! He literally cooks with love and is patient and precise in teaching. Everything he made tasted divine.
My typical process is that I first get a handle on what the person's level of skill already is and then I tailor the lesson just for them. I make cooking really fun and I consider it an art.
