Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I work with students privately, small group workshops, and classroom settings. We can either arrange for an in-home training session, or make arrangements with another facility. I encourage purchasing a series of at least four classes to begin your journey to better health and fitness.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelors Degree in PE & Kinesiology, national gymnastics competitor, former professional ballet dancer, Masters Degree, MBA, certified with the American Council of Exercise, and other certifications. Over 20 years of experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Call to discuss pricing. Purchasing a series is the best route and most economical.
How did you get started teaching?
I've grown up athletic with dance, gymnastics and other sports along with the arts and music. I had to work for the studios in order to pay for my lessons, so learned teaching from my coaches and dance masters. Both parents were professors so I guess teaching runs in the genes.
What types of students have you worked with?
My students are all unique. Young (children) and senior, some needing injury rehabilitation, Parkinson's afflicted, cancer recovery, learning challenged, stress and anxiety disorder, all sizes, shapes and special needs. Everyone is different.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I've been working with a woman with Parkinson's for 8 years and her doctor is very proud of her progress.
Also, I worked with a young girl (7) who could barely speak and had attention deficit due to a birth problem. I helped her learn to speak and express herself through dance and singing. She loved the Disney music.
