About

I am a professional international opera/classical performer who has sung all over the world for my career of 40 years. I have a professional voice studio in my home to help singing professionals and anyone who just wants to sing better and gain greater confidence in themselves. I demand that my students have a professional attitude and come prepared to each lesson. On top of that I like to think that we also have a little fun, too.

I just love to teach voices of all kinds and in different genres of music. It's amazing when all of a sudden the student understands by the results and skills he/she are aquiring. When that happens, it really makes the lesson so much impactful.

    Frequently asked questions

I like to talk with each student to get an idea of their goals.  I listen to them and see if I can help them attain those goals.  Once lessons begin, we work on vocal exercises to strengthen the muscles of the larynx/glottis and breath support to create a free vocal production.  It is a slow process, but a necessary process to have a lifetime of excellent vocal health.  I also assign songs, after a time, to help them apply what they learn from the exercises to help with their confidence and vocal progress.

I have degrees from the University of Arizona School of Music in Theory and Composition with minors in voice and conducting (bachelors), as well as a Masters in Performance.  I have been performing for over 40 years as a international solo professional artist.  I have also been teaching voice for over 40 years.

My rate is $85.00 per lesson.  Each lesson averages and is schedule for around 1 1/2 hours long, but can fluctuate.  The length of lesson depends on whether or not the student comes prepared, time available and what other students are scheduled around the students lesson.

I love to teach and pass on the knowledge I have acquired from my teachers and the performing world I have been so lucky to be a part of.

I have taught and continue to teach working professionals in the classical and popular genres.  I also teach young students with potential and focus from 11 years of age on up.

Check out several teachers to see which one "clicks" with the student.  Not every teacher is for every student.  Many variables can lead to a students decision to work with a particular teacher.

How hard are they willing to work to attain their goals?

Is this what they want?  Because there are many sacrifices along the way.

Do they want to commit to a long term commitment?
