About
Dance is so much more than learning technical foundations and choreograpby. I strive to instill values such as determination, perserverence and respect in my students. Dance is an ever-changing art form and I believe it is important to be open minded and willing to take correction in order to become the best dancer you can possibly be. I like to have fun and bring a confidence-building approach to my teaching, all while setting a strong foundation for the beginning dancer, or challenging the more advanced dancer.
I was given my first class to teach on my own at 14 years old and have been loving what I do for the last 22 years! I have received numerous referrals from happy customers, as well as had the opportunity to work in a private setting with multiple dancers from different studios to supplement things they may have been missing in their current training.
My choreography has won numerous awards, including dozens of 1st overall placements, judges' awards, choreography awards and industry dance awards nominations, etc.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically during our first lesson, I use it as an evaluation to assess current skill level, strengths and weaknesses and gain a better knowledge as to what the dancer wants to focus on and what area they want to grow in.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been dancing since I was 3 years old, and teaching since I was 14. I have attended dance teacher workshops in New York and Long Beach, as well as received my associates degree in dance.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Typically I charge $100/hour one-on-one private lesson, or $350/month (any 4 lessons per payment), which is a $50 discount when paid up front for the month. I also offer multi-month and full year bulk discounts :)
How did you get started teaching?
When I was 13 years old, I switched studios to get more serious ballet training, although my passion at the time had been tap. I was approached a year later by the owner to take over one of the beginning level two classes and from there, I grew into teaching more classes, ages and genres.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with all students, no matter the age or gender :) I typically work with dancers age 7 and up, unless they are able to focus and retain corrections at a younger age- all kids are different :)
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We just moved into our new location after 12 years and the excitement on our dancers' faces has been priceless. With a new space comes new energy and new inspiration.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would suggest being specific with what you are hoping to gain from your lessons. Whether you want to get stronger turns, more flexibility or better retention skills as far as remembering choreography. The options are countless as far as the focus of each lesson, and it is best to have a specific goal in mind, even if it changes week to week or month to month :)
