I remember taking my first lesson when I was 13. I had been itching to get behind a kit ever since I first saw Garth wail on that set in Wayne's World, and this was my first step! What. A. Bore. Sitting in the room learning music theory on a practice pad, with a monotone and unenthused teacher nearly sucked the passion right out of me.
