About

I love teaching swim lessons in order to help children feel safer and more comfortable in the water. I have been a swim instructor for about 4 years now and a lifeguard for 5 years. Additionally, I am certified in CPR, AED, and first aid training. I have been a swimmer and water polo player all my life. I coach water polo players of the ages 6-18, so I am very flexible in regards to children's ages and pace of learning.

I love being able to be the one that helps the children become more reassured and safe in the water. I understand that, for some, being in the water can be a very unfamiliar and scary feeling. I like to be the one who helps change the children's opinion on that. I want them to learn and grow while having fun

She has been an excellent instructor for our kids. She made a great connection with them immediately, and their swimming skills have improved greatly.

    Frequently asked questions

My process is to see how comfortable the kids are in the water and to see how much support that they would like during the lesson. From there, I am able to adjust and see how close or far I need to be in order to help the child become more confident with their swimming.

I am currently in college, I am finishing up my senior year. I play Division 1 water polo and have played water polo since I was in 8th grade. I have been a swimmer all of my life, and have even helped coach a swim team over the summer. In my free time, I coach club water polo for goalies, so I am very proficient in treading water. Additionally, I coach a 12 and under coed water polo team. I have coached water polo at the high school level as well. Over the past 5 summers, I have worked as a lifeguard who is certified in CPR, AED training, and first aid. I have also been a water safety instructor for about 6 years.

I tend to charge $25 every 30 minutes for a lesson. However, I can be pretty flexible when it comes to my pricing.

I started teaching after I got lifeguard certified. I would guard all the swim lessons at the pool I was working at. I loved seeing the smiles on the kids faces and how excited they got when they finally got that one stroke or float down. I wanted to be a part of that. I want to be the one to help the kids grow and feel more reassured and safe in the water.

I have worked with students of all ages. I have worked with children as little as 2 years old and as old as 18. I am very patient and understand that all children's learning paces and ways of learning are different.

I would say look for someone who has the experience and is very flexible in regards to their ways of teaching. Every child is different, what may work for one kids may not work for the other. I am not a believer that everything can only be done or learned one way.
