About

My strengths and skills are teaching your child to be comfortable in the water, to certify and make sure your child is water safe, and teaching the basics of each of the 4 strokes. I also have a very unique background in the water. Not only do I have 4 years of lessons training and experience but I also have 14 years of competitive swimming experience. I am now a division 1 level swimmer for the University of New Mexico. I have a love for the sport and love to teach it as well.

I am very hands on with my lessons. I make sure each child gets the full experience regardless of their skill level. I have worked with hundreds of kids ranging from the ages of 2-12 with a ranging amount of capabilities. My services do only go up to that age limit. But, I love working with kids and being able to see them safe and happy in the water is always my number 1 goal.

    Frequently asked questions

I have a starting lesson to get a general idea of where their skill level is at. Because of my experience, I am able to determine that fairly quickly and will be able to communicate what the next steps are for the child.

I am currently a sophmore in college at the university of new mexico. I am a swimmer there as well and compete at the divison 1 level.
I also have 14 years of competitive swim experience prior to signing to a college.
I have been teaching swim lessons for about 4 years as well.

    I charge $30 per 30 minute session.
If there are two children or siblings you would like to have for an hour slot, I charge $55.
All group lessons are a case by case scenario.

I learned how to teach basic water saftey when I was about 14 years old. I started by helping and teaching at local swim summer camps for younger aged children. I grew a passion from it and every summer after, I spent teaching swim lessons.

I have worked with almost all types of students. Whether that be a mental disablity or physical. A fear of the water is also something I have dealt with for certain students. I am very patient with all of my lessons and want to make it as easy and safe as possible. The child's happieness is what is most important and that is my intentions always going into any new lesson.

I just finished my sophmore season of divison 1 college level swimming. I got the oppurtunity to be apart of my confrence team which was such a rewarding and amazing experience.

Make sure you find a teacher you feel truly safe and comfortable with. Water saftey can be scary and dangerous if not handled by someone with the right amount of experience. My main goal is to explain the entire process not only to the parent but to the student as well so they understand everything they are doing and how it is helping them in the water.
