I am a UC Berkeley student with 12+ years of personal music training and 3+ years of music teaching experience. I have successfully guided students in piano, singing, sight reading, and music theory for the MTAC Certificate of Merit Exams, ABRSM Exams, and AP Music Theory Exam. As a Bay Area native, I am knowledgable of local music competitions and performance opportunities suitable for you or your student. Parris, an internationally award-winning film director, author, and Emmy-nominated actress/singer, has four decades of experience in stage and film performances in the entertainment industry. She has toured Europe and Asia and performed for various dignitaries and prestigious establishments. Parris has a B.A. in Intermedia and Literary Works for Early Childhood Education and an MFA-IA in Interdisciplinary Art, focusing on Music Performance, Writing, Voice Acting, Film, and Photography.
