Career Highlights:

Classical tenor from the Southern California area. In my nearly forty years professional career I have had the opportunity to sing throughout various cities in the United States and South America and have performed for both radio and television presentations. Among the many artists and musicians that I have performed with throughout my career, some of the more notable artists include Carl Sinclair, John Alexander, Zubin Mehta, Thomas Hampson, Giorgio Totsi, George Mester, and Hernan Pelayo, among many others. Today I continue to perform with the Pacific Chorale. Other solo performances and concerts continue to be calendared in advance.

Operatic performances include:

Carmen, Tosca, La Traviata, Madam Butterfly, Turandot, La Forza del Destino, I Pagliacci, Aida, Cavalleria Rusticana, and more.

Laurain Burgess: Director and founder of the Southern California Conservatory of Music.

Dr. Hernan Pelayo: Leading baritone for the Metropolitan Opera, La Scala de Milan and the Royal Opera Company.

Vocal Lineage:

Mr. Ratinoff was trained and mentored under world renowned baritone Hernan Pelayo. Among Pelayo’s most notable students at the Conservatory of Mexico was a young Placido Domingo.

Henan Pelayo was mentored under legendary tenor Mario Del Monaco.

Pelayo studied under tenor super star Beniamino Gigli.

Gigli was the protege of the great Enrico Caruso.”

Today, I continue the tradition of the great masters vocal training of Bel Canto. This technique can be applied to any genre of music.

Past vocal students have received vocal scholarships to colleges and universities such as UCLA and USC, and Chapman University.

Current and past vocalists include young students, recreational singers, training, coaching and mentoring of professional performers and international artists along with other vocal teachers and choral conductors. For those seeking vocal rehabilitation, I apply the Alexander Technique of vocal training. I am currently bring on vocalists ranging from beginner to advanced and professional singers.
