I teach Piano, and Music Theory with Musika.com (started in 2014) and at Gill’s Music in Antioch where I have had my music teaching studio since 2018. I currently teach all ages from kindergarten to retirees, approximately 30 students and I organize their performance recitals. I studied at The Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto, Canada: completed courses in Harmony, Music History, Theory, culminating in Piano Performance, Grade X (Honors) from 1953-1968. I have performed and toured with several music acts playing jazz, folk, country, blues and played for original singer-songwriters. I will meet the student at his level and guide the journey

My teaching strengths include providing a relational and caring, yet structured environment where students learn to practice efficiently, understand their repertoire, and progress in a systematic way as their love for music flourishes.

I have over 27 years experience teaching private lessons. I take a customized approach taylored to each students tastes and needs. I enjoy watching my students get better and better, as well as playing music with them.

I teach drums, guitar, ukulele, music production, music theory and song writing. My services stand out because I have developed my own cirriculum which puts a strong emphaiss on learning practical skills that will actually be useful in a real musical situation. I also encourage students to study music that excites them. You can learn so much from a simple pop song. I enjoy connecting with my students and help bring their musicianship to the next level. I have well over two decades of experience in person and online. I was trained as a Certificate of Merit student in Classical, including theory and technique. Uniquely, I tailor lessons to your goals. MUSIC first (theory secondarily). I teach all levels and popular genres! I can easily teach chord method, ear-training, improvisation, songwriting. I also teach guitar, ukulele and am an experienced vocal coach. I write and record in several genres as well and I am a creativity coach.
