What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We talk via phone or email about the type of course you wish to register for. If it's a private course, we work out course details and skills you'd like to cover to create personalized curriculum just for you. On the day of the course, you will fill out a waiver and we begin instruction.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Suzanne Arechiga is a Level 2 USA Archery Instructor; an ASHI/MEDIC Wilderness First Aid, First Aid, CPR, and AED instructor and instructor of instructors; a head Wilderness Survival Instructor; and a personal trainer. She holds degrees in Health and Physical Education.
Eric Shelton is a 5th degree black belt in Shorin-Ryu Karate and is the owner of a dojo locally. He is also anASHI/MEDIC Wilderness First Aid, First Aid, CPR, and AED instructor and instructor of instructors; a head Wilderness Survival Instructor; and a Level 1 USA Archery Instructor.

A 1 hour Archery Lesson is $40 for one person. For group pricing, please contact us through email or phone number.
What types of students have you worked with?
Survival Training School of California has worked with everyone from 5 years old to 95 years old. We have trained the Boy and Girl Scouts as well as members of the military including navy and Air Force. We have also worked with handicapable people as well as individuals on the Autism, ADD, ADHD, and Down Syndrome Spectrum.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your goals for taking a course? (For example with archery, are you wanting to become competitve, become Katniss or Hawkeye, or do you want to hunt?)
