Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students are always made to feel welcomed and leave each class with a sense of accomplishment. I've seen it happen hunderds of times and it makes the student, the teaching and the parents smile! DG2 is more then dance...it's an experience!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have been open and operating in the Roseville/Antelope area for 26 years. As the director, I have taught dance to students and professionals ages 3 - Adults for over 45 years. In addition for the past 18 years, I have been involved and act as assistant to the International Director of a dance program run through the Disney Company's Performing Arts program.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Classes are paid on a monthly basis; 2017 prices are $65/mo
How did you get started teaching?
Teaching dance and developing large stage productions has been a passion for me, so it was natural for me to open my first dance school in 1970 at age 14!!! My second in 1973 at age 18 and a third at age 21. The rest is history!
What types of students have you worked with?
The students that attend the DG2 understand the importance of dedication to the art and unity with other dancers that makes lifelong memories and friends. This is why we so proudly boast the success of our students, raised in an atmosphere of learning and growing , instead of competing against someone else to better develope oneself.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Yearly our dancers are involved performances that are set to "give back" to our community through our 27 years of working with the Sutter Child Life Program and the United States Marines. Because of my affiliation with the Disney Company, our students also have opportunity that are not available to others.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You will never regret and always cherish your involvment at the Dance Gallery 2.
