Kathy's Swim Lessons
About
The years of experience I have working with novice up to national level swimmers gives me a wide range of skills that address any swimmer's needs. I specialize in special needs students and client's that have a fear or ptsd regarding water and swimming. It is so rewarding to see a student overcome their apprehension of the water and learn how to swim. And you have the convenience of having the instructor travel to the your pool.
I took all the Red Cross swim classes before the age of 9 and was just repeating them. I was given an opportunity to teach those classes at the age of 10. I started coaching at 18. I competed both at University and with U.S. Swimming. I love being in the water and teaching.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first lesson, I assess what skills the student does have and then work from there. I always teach safety along with swimming skills.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught swim lessons and coached swimming for over 35 years. I am a high school special education teacher in addition to coaching.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The base price for a 30 minute lesson is $40. If you would like to sign up and pay for 6 thirty minute lessons at the start of your lessons, there is a discount of $225. Lessons can be set up for 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or an hour depending upon the age of the swimmer.
I would set up a single lesson, at the basic price, so you can meet me and I could meet the swimmer. There is no other obligation to sign up for more lesson if you are not happy with my service.
