Patrick is an amazing voice teacher that is knowledgeable and patient. I've made a lot of progress with vocal technique and I have a greater understanding of different kinds of music. He's really been doing wonders with my voice, and I highly recommend him because he's really great to work with! You'll not only improve your voice, but also learn about why certain techniques work and why they're important. 10/10 would recommend!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

During your first lesson, expect to discuss your vocal and musical experience as well as any goals you have while taking voice lessons.  We will work through various vocal exercises so that I can become more familiar with your voice and determine where to start as we develop your instrument.  For your first lesson, please bring a song to perform.  You can bring sheet music, sing acapella, or even with an online track.  This is a very low key way for me to get to know you better as a singer.  Even something you sing along to on the radio or sing in the shower will do just fine.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

B.A. Music- Voice Penn State University 2006

M.A.T. Music Education- Montclair State University 2015 (NJ Teacher certification- P-12 Music)

Previous experience includes work conducting both middle school and high school choirs in public schools, directing and music directing broadway style musicals, and teaching voice lessons at local music studios and in my own private studio since 2006.

over 15 years of experience as a professional singer/actor/dancer in musical theatre and opera.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Rates can be discussed by request. I do offer pricing options based on the location of the lessons.  I teach from my home, your home, and online.

How did you get started teaching?

I began teaching one on one voice lessons when I was an udergraduate student at Penn State University.  I took a year of vocal pedagogy courses and fell in love with the process of helping students develop their individual voices.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have had students ranging in age from 6-70 with various backgrounds, ability levels and genre interests.
