Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The Ishinryu Australia annual camp with Wayne Otto (9 times WKF world campion and current national coach for Norway), Ian Cole (Multiple times British champion and current national coach for Qatar). Tony Hails (Multiple times Australian champion and team captain, previous national coach for Australia and current national coach for Fiji). Amazing quality of athletes and coaches.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher and environment that suits you.
You need to feel comfortable and interested in what you are learning about. If you are not feeling satisfied then you should at least be aware of the alternatives.
Ishinryu means "All of one heart" and I believe that there is value in every activity. Each person is looking for something a little different. For some people it is about learning traditional martial arts movements, for others its about competition, for others again its about general fitness and self defense.
