This is not a typical karate that you would find in any dojo. I started Muay Thai when I was five in Vietnam. The master who taught me Muay Thai was a street gangster who was a Thai and Campudian descent. His father was a pit fighter in the Golden Triangle area. When I was 7, my master was sentenced to death for killing two other rival gang members in a street fight. My uncle, a Viet vet, returned from Japan when I was 7 and taught me Kyokushin and Muay Thai until I hit 15, the same Muay Thai he learned from my master’s father. Along the way, I also earned a black belt in Shotokan karate at 12 and quit to learn Taekwondo. At 12, my uncle’s old friend, also a vet, trained me in Taekwondo for the next 6 years until I went to the US.
What so special about this karate? Well, it is created as a combination of Muay Thai, kyokushin karate, shotokan karate, and Taekwondo along with my street fighting experience. I started to kick bullies’ ass since I learned to kick. I joined a gang at 12 and little that I knew, enemies came for me endlessly.
What else can my Karate offer?
I am also good with Tameshiwari (breaking objects). I am a certified orthopedic technician. That indicates I possess a knowledge of the human anatomy. I know exactly how to get the bone stronger through exercise methods, martial arts, and nutrition.
