I have been teaching lesson for the last 10 years. I teach individuals of all ages and abilities. I have a lot of experience teaching students with Down syndrome and autism. I meet my students at their ability level and take time to find out what method works best for them.
I have a passion for teaching and being in the pool. I enjoy the work that I do. It’s very rewarding when I get through to a student who has taken a little longer to learn. Patience is key.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will find out what my students can do within the first lesson. From there, I will ensure they have proper breath control, kicking technique and arm stroke technique. I work with each student at their own pace.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught at multiple swim schools over the course of 10 years.
I have been trained in teaching competitive swimming.
I have received certification as a Special Abilitites, adapted swim lesson swim instructor.

1 Hour Leassons
1:1 lessons -$250 (4 lessons)
1:2 lessons -$150 (4 lessons)
1:3 lessons -$100 (4 lessons)
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching as a summer job 10 years ago and have been teaching ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with babies, children and adults of all ages and ability levels.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I can and I will teach you how to swim. Swimming is a preogreasive skill that anyone is capable of learning.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about your goals as a swimmer. What do you want to get out of the lesson? Also remember, the pool is a fun place and you should never be scared of the water. If you have a fear of the water, I’ll help you over come that.
