Raquel's Dance Lessons
About
I teach dance lessons at a dance studio in Hercules, CA but because not everyone has the luxury of commuting that far, I can come to you! For dance, you don’t always need a mirror or a wooden “dance floor”. You can make the outdoors your dance floor or even your own home!
The art of dance has been such a beautiful outlet for me in my life and during hardships. I want to share this passion I have with the youth. With so many things going on in this world, we need an outlet and a hobby to keep us sane and somewhat distracted from the negativity. For me, that has been dance.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Getting to know their interests. Some students like what they see as far as dance style, but they don’t always like what it feels like on their bodies. When I first started dancing at the age of 5 years old, all I wanted to do was acrobatics because it looked cool! When I took both an acrobatics and a tap dance class, I preferred tap after experiencing both styles.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve been taking dance lessons for 20 years. I was 5 years old when I took my first tap/jazz class. I’ve been training professionally since the age of 16 and am still training at the age of 25. I’ve been a dance instructor at 3 dance studios so far and 1 high school. (I’ve been teaching at 2 out of 3 of the dance studios for 8 years). I, as well as my students, have performed at Disneyland, Disneyland’s California Adventures, Walt Disney World, Carnival Cruise and The Oracle Arena.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $60.00 for 1 hour per student and $100.00 for 2 hours per student.
