Valiant Tennis Lessons

I was the best tennis player on my high school varsity All-City San Francisco Tennis Team. Then, I made the varsity squad of a very elite Cal Riverside Tennis Team, where I defeated four formerly ranked, Southern California 18-year-olds, who were also varsity players. I defeated the former 500th ATP World Ranked Tennis Player in a Southern California Open and I participated in the prequalifying for some professional and semi-professional tournaments. I had a .500 record in SoCal semi-professional Open tournaments.

Because I have had successful experience as a tournament player, I know what it takes for others to duplicate that success. I am a serve and volleyer with big topspin groundstrokes and great footwork. Therefore, I emphasize this approach with my students-- the attacking and defensive game. Because I have done it over a twelve year odyssey, I can teach others to do it well also.

I am a certified instructor in good standing by United States Professional Tennis Registry.

Watching others improve is rewarding to me. I also emphasize sportspersonship conduct and having FUN! Tennis is a great way to stay fit, pursue excellence, as well as aesthetic perfection! It is a special art form! I enjoy the outdoors and living a healthy lifestyle. Competing seriously in tennis as well as playing/teaching recreationally is a big part of the confidence, focus, and determination that is necessary for broader life.
