GWSKD is a three-level system that is about the ability to maximize your body's natural force-generating capabilities internally and externally in Five Directions of Movement from any of the Five Body Postures. Standing, Kneeling, Supine, Prone. Sitting. GWSKD program is based on modern scientific principles of human anatomy, psychology, kinesiology, neurophysiology, and biomechanics. GWSKD Teaching methodology is not designed for tournament competition and does not follow the sports martial arts training model. The system is meant for individuals who want to learn simple real-life, self-defense skills from 30+ Classical Kata as well as achieve a greater level of spiritual and mental health balance. Since GWSKD is a non-full-contact, non- sparring non-competitive art we stress diet, mental, physical, emotional, social and spiritual development with pre-set exercises and to achieve the physical and mental residue to “Win”. GWSKD always promotes non-violent conflict resolutions. Five meditations, Five Pranayama exercises, up to 115 Yoga asanas + practical solutions to improve cardiovascular development. with simple Body Weight Exercises. In addition, with competition removed, students can continually develop - not against each other but with each other to advance to from Level 1 to Level 3.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We Teach and train in Conditioning exercises for the Body Mind and Spirit. We practice movement based on the Ba Duan Jin, Sun Salutation and 30 classical Japanese Kata with Japanese Methodology. Five is the basis of our Movements of Direction, Body Positions, Footwork with a Focus on Evasion, Blocking, Striking, Punching and Kicking. We also use Classical Kobudo weapons such as The Sai, The Long Bo and Short Bo. We are a Non-Contact. Sudome.Yin and Yang training methods.
