I love playing drums, and Being able to help someone feel the same is an amazing gift. Being the person that taught you how to play a song, nail a drum fill, or spin your sticks makes me feel I'm making the world a better place.

Frequently asked questions

The first lesson I will asses your playing and technique, but that wont take long. From day one 99% of my students leave their first lesson with me able to play a song. I think the the main motivation for people is to play music, so let's not waste any time!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree from Musician's Institute of Hollywood CA in Percussion and performance arts. I have taught at multiple schools including School Of Rock and US Music.

How did you get started teaching?
After playing professionally for years in various bands and projects, more and more people started asking for lessons. I realized I was good at it and enjoyed helping people become musicians. I have studied and trained with many companies amd systems since amd feel I have great methods for teaching with bery high success rates!
What types of students have you worked with?
I typically work with beginer to intermediate level students ranging from 5 years old to 16. I have students with a wide range of needs and can usually accommodate people with special needs. I have taught music business and playimg to ages 16-40 and even coached other teachers in music business.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I just taught my 6 year old student his first Blink 182 song, and he killed it! The cathardic effect it had for him and me was unreal. He left with a new confidence and even deeper love for his instrument.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone that understands your goals and priorities. It is also important to find someone that actually plays music for a living (not just teaches it). Ask what kind of music your potential teacher specializes in. Do many teachers are just desperate for students so they say yes to everyone. If you want to be a pop drummer, you need a teacher that really knows pop.
