About
Hello! I love to teach and share the art of dance with others. I am great with children as well as teen and adult beginners. My goals are to pass down my knowledge of dance, and to give my students feelings of joy, accomplishment, and growth.
My teaching style has patience and focuses on teaching dance in a way that is healthy for the physical body for an non-injury journey learning and practicing the dance craft, as well as giving and guiding freedom of expression.

I have a BFA in Dance and 12 years of teaching experience. My 26 years of being a student, performer, and teacher has provided me with a diversity of expertise. I look forward to teaching and sharing the art of dance with you!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process for working with new students is to see what they already know if they have taken previous dance classes, then I will go from there to teach them new techniques, steps, and movement to grow their skill level. If students are brand new and have newver taken dance classes, I start with the basics. I also work with students strengths and weaknesses to bring each individual to their highest potential.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied dance for 26 years. I trained as a dancer for 26 years, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. In college I took pedagogy (teaching) and choreography classes in addition to my performing movement classes (dance classes. I also have 6 years of experience teaching at dance studios and online.

I have a standard pricing system, however I am willing to negotiate.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching during college at dance studios; first as a subsitute teacher, then a summer teacher, and finally a full time teacher.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students; levels ranging from beginner to advanced, as well as ages 3 to adult.
