I knew the moves - taking time to focus on each of us. Rather than just teaching
choreography, he took the time to teach us the basics so once we got to choreography we
were able to see how it fit with the dance and improvise if we forgot something.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
With new students I start by taking them through a series of fundemental movements, patterns and exercises to help them understand the systems in place for leading, following and proper form and posture in order to prevent injury and keep the learning process enjoyable and easy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a high level competitive ballroom and Latin dancer for 26 years.
I have education and certifications in all 4 major styles of ballroom which include: American Smooth, American Rhythm, international Latin and International Standard.
I was part of the world championship salsa team in 2009 and 2010 and teach salsa lessons as well as west coast swing, hustle and country two step and other country dances.
I have also training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Theater arts (partnering and lifts).
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
lesson rates vary depending on if my clients decide to pay lesson by lesson or purchase a grouping of lessons, but your first lesson is $70 and after that initial lesson I charge $100 per single session. Packages and other discounts are available.
How did you get started teaching?
I started dancing as a child and never stopped. At age 17 I became a teacher and turned pro.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked and continue to work with students of all levels from beginners that have never danced before to helping my coaches and fellow competitors with choreography at a high level. I have also assisted with choreography on 'So You Think You Can Dance' and 'Dancing With The Stars' and have done choreography and performances with whe world salsa team as well as other dance troupes. I currently compete with some of my students in various levels of the Pro-Am competitions and train different ages and levels for competition.
