About
I teach an instinctual and intuitive approach that gets you to stop acting and start being - it's simple, easy to grasp and has been utilized my numerous academy award winning actors, Tony Award Winners & series regulars in network television. Many of my students have regular or recurring roles in network TV, work on or off broadway and attribute their success to this unquote approach.
I LOVE helping students turn their passion into a profession.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually do a 15 minute phone consult and/or set up an introductory private coaching session to find out their needs and wants and to give them as much exposure as I can to the work I do and get a sense of what they do (or as much of a sense as one can get in a first meeting).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended a professional conservatory in New York and continued my studies with professors from Columbia University and with sought after top private coaches. Wynn Handman, Harold Guskin, Austin Pendleton, Milton Katselas & Terry Schreiber.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$85 for a one hour private coaching session. If they are in Los Angeles they may do a "working audit" of my ongoing acting classes as well- where they will get to participate for half price ($25) or enroll for ongoign classes after an interview which is $225 per month.
How did you get started teaching?
I was cast in a film and I shared this process with the director and it had a profound apporach on the way he worked with his actors. In addition, he asked me to coach many of the actors in the film and it began to take on the shape of a vocation for me. I've been coaching for nearly ten years now privately and have conducted my ongoing workshop in Los Angeles for 2 years and I've given seminars in New York and San Francisco on the important role that instinct and intuition plays in the actors process, guiding them to performaces that are raw and spontaneus as opposed to consciouly "planned" and directed. Many students have secured work and achieved creative accomplishments that had eluded them for years using this revolutionary approach.
What types of students have you worked with?
Award winning professional actors from Broadway and Network television, advnaced students - many of whom recently graduated from NYU MFA, ACT & Julliard and newcomers. I work with students at all levels.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I taught an intensive in NYC back in January and met a young actress.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A good teacher will help you improve or validate your skillset so that you have confidence in your ability. They will enhance or add to whatever you have that is already working for you if you are an intermediate or advanced practicioner and for the beginner they will give you a firm grasp on the foundation of this trade. They will show you the compus that will give you a true north and empower you so much that you essentially won't need that coach anymore but may work with them as a collaborater or because that teacher has become a part of their own respective successful actions.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What they are looking to get out of the session. What are their short term and long term needs and wants.
