The Actor's Instinct
About
I teach an instinctual and intuitive approach that gets you to stop acting and start being - it's simple, easy to grasp and has been utilized my numerous academy award winning actors, Tony Award Winners & series regulars in network television. Many of my students have regular or recurring roles in network TV, work on or off broadway and attribute their success to this unquote approach.
I LOVE helping students turn their passion into a profession.

George Gallagher teaches the actor to be fully present in the moment, trust your own creative instincts and allow yourself to just be which creates a natural effect on the audience which is ultimately an actors goal . He is also a very pleasant and encouraging teacher treating actors of all levels as equal . I highly recommend anybody to study with him.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students are free to peruse my videos online and if they wish to book an intro lesson - we can usually schedule a time to work virtually (via Zoom or Google Chat) - or in person.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended a professional conservatory in New York and continued my studies with professors from Columbia University and with sought after top private coaches. Wynn Handman, Harold Guskin, Austin Pendleton, Milton Katselas Terry Schreiber. Member of The National Alliance of Acting Teachers. TDP graduate.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$275 for a one hour private coaching session. If they are in Atlanta they may do an in person 1 to 1 coaching session or apply to one of our 90 Day Virtual Coachign Programs (pending an audition process/interview).
How did you get started teaching?
I was cast in a film years ago and shared this approach with the director, who found it so impactful that he asked me to coach several actors on the project. That experience sparked what ultimately became a true vocation. I’ve now been coaching for 15 years, privately and through workshops in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Atlanta, MIT (Boston), Belgrade, Budapest, and Norway.
I teach the importance of instinct and intuition in the actor’s process, guiding performers toward work that is raw, spontaneous, and alive—rather than consciously “planned” or overly directed. Many of my students have secured work and achieved creative breakthroughs that had eluded them for years using this method. I’ve coached actors for series-regular roles on network and streaming shows, major studio films, Broadway productions, and the West End.
What types of students have you worked with?
Award-winning professional actors from Broadway and Network television, advnaced students - many of whom recently graduated from NYU MFA, ACT & Juilliard and newcomers. I work with students at all levels.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I also taught an intensive for the Screen Actors Guild Foundation, which was an incredibly rewarding experience, as well as an in-person workshop in New York City that led to significant breakthroughs for several students. One actor landed a recurring guest star role on a hit Amazon Studios series, and several others achieved major creative and professional benchmarks — which they credit as a direct result of that work.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A good teacher will help you improve or validate your skillset so that you have confidence in your ability. They will enhance or add to whatever you have that is already working for you if you are an intermediate or advanced practicioner and for the beginner they will give you a firm grasp on the foundation of this trade. They will show you the compus that will give you a true north and empower you so much that you essentially won't need that coach anymore but may work with them as a collaborater or because that teacher has become a part of their own respective successful actions.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What they are looking to get out of the session. What are their short term and long term needs and wants.
