About
Hello, prospective student and lover of music!
Thank you so much for your inquiry into my vocal Masterclasses. I teach students of all levels and ages from beginner to professional, to touring singers, actors, teachers, and public speakers.
**** Note I will be leaving this platform soon but please reach out me at IG under my name, Nina Storey and I will get back to you same day! And ask me about free consultation!
I am a Grammy and Emmy nominated singer and songwriter and have my music featured in over 100 TV shows, commercials, video games, and more on NBC, CBS, ABC, Netflix, Hulu, Paramount+, and Discovery Channel. I have over 20 years of experience and have extensively sung in the studio and live performance in a wide range of genres including, pop, soul, blues, jazz, hip-hop, rock, EDM, musical theater, country, character voices, and more.
When it comes to teaching, I design a custom program for my students based on their individual needs. I work with all levels and take special care to make sure each lesson is a fun, interesting, and engaging experience. I find out what you, the student, want to achieve, and work specifically on, to develop YOUR unique voice! I believe we all have the ability within us to sing and sometimes it's just a matter of learning new techniques and sometimes unlearning others that might not serve us.
From there, I combine a wide variety of tailored exercises along with music repertoire. We can work on the music you request or I can help you find songs that are a good fit. I can help prepare you for auditions, performances, and speaking events, or help you develop fundamental and advanced skills to develop your unique sound.
In addition, I will help you to improve various skills including:
-pitch control
-ear training
-dynamic control
-tone improvement
-range increase
-mind-body connections to help create an intuitive space for the body to resonate
-improvisation
-breath control
-performance technique
-sound education, mic, and monitor education for electronic performances
-stronger speaking resonance and presence
-stress management
-panic attack relief
-anxiety control
-stage fright
-audition technique
-public speaking
-social anxiety
-Deep breathing techniques to improve lung function
-improved memory through singing
-improved communication skills
-regulating the nervous system
And much more!
My philosophy is that singing is intuitive and fun and that we are born with this knowledge in our bodies. Somewhere along the way some of us forget this information, and so I like to help my students navigate back to the intuitive space of play, celebration, and self-expression with singing. No matter what the song, I believe YOU, the vocalist, can find your best self in tapping into that freedom vocally.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process for working with a new student is to first ask what their goals are as a singer. From there I will customize a specific program to meet their individual needs. Whether they want to become a professional singer, prepare for a recital, or just have fun with singing, I work with students from beginner to advanced, touring, seasoned vocalists.
My goal is to make it a fun, joyful experience from start to finish!
