Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We help beginners to learn how to swim from scratch. We help competitive swimmers to improve their technique, swim faster and better! We work with our clients to help them to meet their objectives over a given period of time, providing motivation, encouragement and advice along the way.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Royal coaches are extremely eperienced, they worked with kids over many years and they all have a competitive national level swimming background. Our coaches have a great deal of passion in swimming, they love teaching kids, and they are very dedicated to their job.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Swim lessons for beginners:
8 lessons session: $80/per child (once per week)
14 lessons session: $140/per child (twice per week)
Private lessons are avaliable at $60/per lesson
How did you get started teaching?
Royal swim team was created in 2005. We started from one location and just a few students and now we grew into a large swimming club with over 200 swimmers and 5 different locations. Most of our swimmers begun with swim lessons from the scratch and when it was time, they joined the swim team. Swimming has helped many of our swimmers to receive a scholarship at different universities around the country. We believe in what we do!
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with all ages and different level of swimmers, starting from beginners who don't know how to swim and up to the national level competitive swimmers who represent our team at Olympic Trials.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
First and one of the most important ones is professional certifications. All Royal coaches have CPR, First Aid and USA Coaches certificates. Thy also attend annual seminars provided by USA Swimming Association.
Second is motivation! Our instructors have an individual approach to each swimmer to help them to find their best potential. We make sure that kids fell comfortable, energized and motivated to attend classes.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Discuss with instructor your goals. Let us know what are you expecting from the class. Share with if there any specific needs, concerns, or fears that we should know about before starting the lessons, so we can help your child in the best possible way.
