Swimming Instructor and Lifeguard, with over 10 years of experience, in working with children, adults including autistic, developmentally delayed and emotionally disturbed. Was an active participant on my high school swim team for 4 years, with my senior year being the swim team captain. I am certified through the American Red Cross, in responding to emergency situations and utilizing my WSI/Lifeguard training, First Aid and CPR/AED.
I just enjoy helping others, watching my students grow and developing new friendships.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I get to know my student and gain their trust. Then lesson by lesson I challenge them in learning a new skill. Every student is different so everyone goes at their own pace. I push my students but i do notice the things that may be more difficult to accomplish.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a swim Instructor and Lifeguard for over 10 years. I am WSI, Lifeguard and First Aid, CPR/AED certified through the Ref Cross. I also hold a BS in Theatre with a minor in Childrens education.

30 Minute lessons are $55.00
45 Minute lessons are $85.00
1 Hour lessons are $100.00
Lifeguarding is $100.00 an hour

How did you get started teaching?
Growing up I love the water and was in the swim team at the age of 11. I contributed to stay active on a swim team through out high school, then I joined the swim club at Kansas State University. While I was completing my degree at college. I taught swim lessons for 5 years. I working with children, adults including autistic, developmentally delayed and emotionally disturbed.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages mostly 2- 8 year olds. I have experience in teaching middle schoolers, and adults.
