What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will discuss what your goal is for tennis. Weather it be just learning the game for fun, or to play in leagues, or to play in tournaments. Then, meet and let the fun and skills insue :)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
USTA Pro certified, Van DerMeer Tennis Acadamy trained.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I supply the tennis balls .
$50: one hour, one person
$60: hour 1/2, one person
$75 one hour, 2 people
$85: hour 1/2, 2 people
How did you get started teaching?
Ive been a professional instructor, coach, teacher and guide in many sports and activities...from soccer to rock climbing. I got back into tennis teaching on Hilton Head Island, SC in 2007 at an advanced level.
What types of students have you worked with?
All levels from someone thats never played, to 5.0+ players.
People with injuries, or nervous, or hesitant, I'll make it comfortable, educational and fun :)
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I just attended The Madrid Open in Spain :)
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Seek a coach that acclimates to YOUR personality, style, and goals of the game. As well as a coach that will make the game fun, informative and intriguing.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask ANYTHING you'd like, to make your experience fun and enjoyable. Your time and money invested in lessons is VERY important...I understand that...your coach should too!
