John T. Woodall, Professional Musician
About
Hey, everyone. My name is John T. Woodall, and I have always been passionate about music. I have always loved creating it, performing it, and helping others to tap into their potential and hear their spin on it.
I grew up in North Carolina and started singing on my grandmother's fireplace. The bug had bit me, and I did musical theater throughout high school and then attended undergrad at Appalachian State University with a vocal scholarship. In search of something different, I moved to New York for several years where I had the time of my life soul-searching, song-writing, and performing wherever and whenever I could. I did the same thing in Nashville, where I moved next, and had a ball. So hello, CO!
I am a classically trained vocalist who has performed in numerous genres (rock, musical theater, opera, country, etc), so I am able to teach a healthy technical foundation that is personalized to my student and that can be applied to many genres. I enjoy working with my students through any technical obstacles, performance anxiety, etc. and meeting them on the other side--in a place where they feel like they can articulate what they want to share with the world.
And for all of those data-lovers out there, my resume:
