Dr. Turley was my vocal coach from age 13-18. He helped me improve my breath control, introduced me to age-appropriate repertoire, and greatly improved my confidence in singing. He is a laid-back teacher who will make you feel comfortable while pushing you to improve and achieve a high level of musicality. While he was my instructor, I made high school district honor choir 3 times, All-State honor chorus once, earned 4 I-ratings for vocal solos at district contest, and 3 I-ratings for vocal solos at State Contest. He also helped me audition and make it to my dream college for Music Education. He is a great vocal coach and I learned a lot from his teaching.

Dr. Turley is one of the most caring individuals that I know. He has had such a huge impact on my younger singing career. He was patient with me and gave my voice the individualistic attention it needed in order to mature. With his help I was able to get into the graduate school of my dreams as a performance major, as well as helping with my professional career. I could not have asked for a better vocal coach.

I took lessons from Charles Turley while in high school and into college. His ability to help me understand my own voice and how it worked significantly fast tracked my singing and helped me to get a scholarship for vocal in college. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is starting out or already knows a thing or two. He is patient, persistent, and overall just a great person and teacher!

I really enjoyed working with him, and I consider the doctor a good friend. He can assist pretty much any voice part since he has a wide range, and his music tastes are immaculate
