My teaching approach:
My goal, as a guitar teacher, is not to have the student mimic me, but to help the student find and develop their own unique artistry. Yes, music is an art, and art is a form of expression, from Rock and all of its subgenres, to Classical, and everything in-between. The first steps toward expressing yourself through music are good technique and a firm grasp of music theory. I don’t make any false claims like “you’ll be a rock star in a few weeks”. You need to learn to walk before you can run, and run before you can sprint.

I have also performed as lead guitarist in several working bands. I enjoy teaching all styles.
