My three boys ages 3, 5, and 7 absolutely loved their swim instructor, John. They spent about a year swimming with him and improved so much compared to the skills they learned with their prior instructors. John was able to get the youngest to stop crying in the pool from day one and now M swims in the pool comfortably without a floaty. My middle was always scared to swim on his back, and now does so comfortably. My oldest has special needs. John had the patience to really get to know him and help him get over some of his fears in the water. L loves the water now and will spend hours in the pool. The skills the kids learned with him are a tremendous help now that we’ve moved to FL. We hope others will have the same amazing experience at Long Island Safety Training.

Jack has good skills teaching young kids and is very good with them. My son had a lot of fear being in water at the beginning, but Jack quickly helped him conquer his fear and made the lessons fun. Now my son always asks for more swimming at the end of each lesson.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We tailor the lesson to fit the needs of each student to give an individual experience you wont find with other swimming programs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our instructors are certified by the American Red Cross and have multiple years of experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We have a lesson package system that start as low as $50 per lesson
How did you get started teaching?
I started over 10 years ago as part of a volunteer program with my swim team and I have continued ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages and abilities including but not limited to children with autism and special needs.
