McKayla Ferguson Voice Studio
About
My main approach in the voice lesson is to work solely on vocal technique. If we can accomplish complete vocal cord closure, we have accomplished what is necessary in the realm of singing. This goes for ANY genre of singing. If the singer can produce a clear tone by way of cord closure, we are on our way to artistic success in our repertoire! If the singer is ready, I will rehearse repertoire with them at the end of their lessons; if not, we maintain our vocal technique is ready. FULL DISCLOSURE: Just because we’ve not gotten to repertoire in your lessons, does not mean you are a horrible singer, or you should quit your pursuit in singing. It means that you are building the tools that you need in order to best serve your music and the artistic story you wish to portray to your audiences.
