About

I provide private vocal training for the beginner, advanced, and professional singer. My approach is practical so the student understands and impliments the elements of good vocal production. With over 20 years of teaching experience, including college level, I tailor my approach to the specific needs of the student. Student successes include college auditions, professional theater, Broadway, singing teachers and Opera. I bring my experience as a performer, master teacher, vocal coach, singing instructor, acting and performance coaching to help students meet and surpass their singing goals.

I am a member of the National Association of Teacher of Singing and Actors Equity.

You can learn more about me at my website at: http://www.reginaelliottvocalstudio.com

I have been studying voice with Regina Elliott for many years. She is a very professional, talented and accomplished teacher. Regina has a command of a variety of musical styles from classical to theatrical singing. Her suggestions are supportive and comprehensive.
I have learned a great deal from Regina. I believe my sound and range have been improved immensely since I began singing with her.
My daughter, who is now a professional singer, studied with Regina. She helped set a foundation that fostered my daughter’s growth as a performer and beyond.
Regina is a kind and generous person. I highly recommend her.

I have studied with Regina for 3 years. I came to her with a need for technique, and to be able to use my voice correctly since I had already developed bad habits. She taught me breathing and placement in many different ways so I could implement them with any song I needed to perform. Since then I have been able to perform vocally challenging runs of musicals with ease. Her style of teaching is very focused and her education spans across all genres, so she can aid any student at any level.

I think Ms. Elliott is a “life-changing” teacher. You who have experienced it know what I mean. It is the sort of teacher you fall upon once, or if lucky, twice in your whole lifetime.
Ms. E really accentuates her students’ strengths and she also challenges them on their “less developed” areas. She has certainly done wonders for my child. I would recommend her as a terrific, intuitive teacher... but also as an excellent, exacting one. She is “that teacher” you all once had who pushed you, but still made you feel confident while doing so.

Frequently asked questions

All lessons begin with a warm-up which is a series of vocal exercises that help establish and build vocal technique.  The warm-up also serves to "warm-up" the voice in preparation for singing.  Vocal technique is the foundation for singing.

After the warm-up, we work on songs.  I usually choose songs that are appropriate to the level of the student.  We work on different parts of the song that may be difficult, then put those together and sing the entire song.
