Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Most of my adult students have a basic understanding of Pickleball / Tennis strokes. We concentrate on the skills and tactics to take that player to a higher competitive capability. Knowing where and when to be on the court, especially for a doubles player is paramount. As we add strategic play shots, we go back and refine the necessary related strokes .
Some of my students are very new to tennis, including the children I teach every summer in Kutsher’s Sports Academy Camp in Massachusetts. We train to develope a sound understanding of important tennis principles of control, power, spin etc. Of course we work on grips, strokes and usable strategy appropriate for the new players skills.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a Pickleball & Tennis professional for many years. I have directed both adult programs and children’s tennis camps on Long Island , NY. When I moved to North Naples in 2014, I began teaching on a private basis and have had great results with my students. I am a certified tennis instructor by the Professional Tennis Registry and I am also certified by the IPTPA to teach Pickleball.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

and $10.p.p additional for more players in your group.Court fees may also apply when required at certain facilities.
How did you get started teaching?
Tennis was my sport of passion as a child and I played competitively. After college at Cornell Un.I embarked on a tennis club management career . Directing operations and teaching our thousands of members was a very rewarding position.
Now that I am in Florida, my students often seek me out from word of mouth as I play competitively local in both tennis and pickleball.
Winning a couple of Gold Medals here in Naples keeps my tactical Pickleball Coaching fresh .What types of students have you worked with?
I work mainly with adults who want to catch up quick as a competitive player. They are ready to put the effort in to make real strides in their games.
I also teach some newer adult players who want to give Pickleball or Tennis a try, but start safely before developing some dangerous habits..
I sDuring previous summers, I went to Coach summer camp in Mass., where I was the senior Pickleball & Tennis coach for campers ages 6-17.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
What makes my feel successful is when a private student asks his or her doubles partner to join our training sessions. This happened a couple of times last year and following up on those teams successes felt great for all of us.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A student should look for a coach that can communicate to their style of learning. The right combination of hitting and talking. Also the competitive or social goals of the player should be insink with the coach.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should be aware of the amount of practice time they will need to accomplish lesson goals.
Students should have a true want to learn the life long sport of Pickleball or Tennis.
Students should understand the time and resources that a complete series of lessons will require.
