The most satisfying and rewarding part of my profession is knowing and witnessing a student get results in a matter of minutes what may have taken me years to accomplish because I taught myself and never took lessons from a professional. The smile they have and sincere excitement of hitting a shot they never thought they would be able to. I have the ability to save them the most precious of all things which is TIME. Witnessing my students accomplish and reach their goals. Often after one session is amazing. Seeing them so excited, full of joy and happiness is priceless! The letters and text messages I get of them telling me they just played the best round of their life thanks to what I taught them. I build relationships with my students that last forever. The game of golf can bring people together in a way that perhaps there was no common ground between them. I could go on and on with true examples of people have a new way of connecting with nature and a feeling of inner peace.

Very helpful lesson. Kevin kept it simple and pointed out just the critical errors in my swing. He took the time to listen to my objectives for the lesson and tailored the lesson to my playing ability and the fairly limited amount of time I play golf. I intend to take more lessons with Kevin and he advised me to practice as much as possible before I schedule another session so that I can get the most out of the next lesson.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

1. First I want to know what their goals are. Next, I would like to know what style of learning do they find to be the most effective for them. example - visualization, auditory, hands-on, etc.

2. If they have a complete set of clubs, did they get fitted by a professional club fitter? Golfing has factors that are crucial in this category. How tall they are, flexibility, strength, club head speed, etc.

3. I begin with the student hitting a few shots so I can observe their fundamentals. Listening to the student closely allows me to create a lesson plan that will best serve them to obtain their goal.

4. Golf has a good amount of physics involved. It is my job to help a golfer understand them but not focus on them.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

20 plus years of Insructing and playing at the professional level. I simply desire to share what I have learned in 46years of playing and striving to be the best I could be at the game. As I matured and learned over the years, golf is so MUCH MORE than a pastime or sport. It's a journey within ones own soul and a window of opportunity to observe the beauty of life!
