I taught myself to play golf when I was a teenager....I worked hard every chance I could get, becoming a 1 handicap and club champion when I was 16 years old. As for teaching, there is not a single swing, shot, or style I have not seen or worked with....give me a chance to help your game. I have given over 4,000 lessons to all levels of players from professionals to juniors. The majority of students I have taught was during the years I worked in Italy, Germany & Guam managing golf facilities for the USAF. For 18 years I worked as a Golf Manager / PGA Professional with an advanced certification in instruction.

Being that I've participated in multiple sports I understand motion/range of motion. Everyone has thier own range of motion and I'm very good at identifying it which is key.

My service stands out because unlike some of those money grubbing professionals, I actually care and will even go over the allotted time to ensure the student understands the point I’m trying to make. I also like to stay in contact with my students about their progress and improvements on the course. I usually respond to my emails and texts promptly. I use different techniques for people who have different learning styles and through one on one instruction, I can figure that out pretty quickly.

I'm willing to devote as much time, for what i would charge, to have a student feel comfortable in a particular aspect of the golf swing or golf in general, whether it's in feeling comfortable playing golf with strangers, putting, chipping, or the full swing.
My instruction is focused on having fun and getting the most out of each student's unique skills and abilities.
I believe in growing the game and paying it forward, therefore my fees are reasonable and low.
Playing lessons are my specialty and I am connected to the local golf community. We can play on my course or I can come to you and yours.
I am an equipment and buying expert. I can provide recommendations and assist with any necessary purchases.
20 years of experience and a background in sports, fitness, and nutrition.

I prefer working with beginners because they haven't developed any bad habits yet, however I will work with anyone that really wants to improve their game
History: Member of the PGA of America since 1982.
National Senior Club Professional Champion 1996.
Lesson Philosophy: Most swing faults are the product of poor set-ups and balance. Putting the golfer in a better posture and balance will sometimes eliminate those faults. I stress the basics: grip, aim and posture. For the player whose skills are advanced, the stress is on the mental approach to the game.
I have played golf for nearly 35 years on a non professional level and joined the LPGA in 2007 where I am still on a continuing education.
I worked at Pasadena Yacht and Golf Club for 5 years teaching children from 4 years old and up.
For older more experienced players I do not mind 9 hole playing lessons while video taping swing or video on range lesson also. Good putting is a must so putting lessons are also available.
I am an LPGA teaching professional. I am an expert teaching the short game with mental strategies. I am a certified putting instructor.
Teaching children and seeing how they develop into great golfers and respectful young adults is rewarding. The student and their safety is of utmost importance. Warm up exercises and drills are incorporated in all lessons. I enjoy performing clinics prior to outings as a benefit to the new golfer.
I like to make the game fun, social and competitive.

As a LGPA Class A instructor, I have a passion for helping her students improve their game. As a Titleist Performance Institute Instructor (Level 1), she is able to help her students learn how to make their swing as efficient as possible. The philosophy is that the best swing for every golfer is not the same. Instead the most efficient swing is unique for each golfer.
PGA Award-winning golf instructor for over 25 years. JOHN HAYES, www.johnhayesgolf.com, award-winning PGA Teaching Pro at Chi Chi's Golf Range, has learned to teach from the legendary PGA Hall of Famer, Manuel de la Torre, who helps the student understand the motion of the club and what must be done to produce good shots. Practice putting your intent on the correct action with the club so you are not under the spell of the golf ball (future results) that will only give you "ball-concern" (fear and anxiety about those future results) instead of experiencing the freedom and joy of the swinging of the golf club. With over 20 years in the Golf Industry I have learned many different methods of teaching for all types of ages, swings, and levels. My main method on teaching is not on trying to change swings but on how to develop methods to improve the swing you may already have. I feel all swings are different and sometimes one swing method may not work for others. I do teach all ages and levels, but do enjoy teaching to Junior's because the excitement they express on the outcomes they make are unmeasurable to any other age group.

A college player at Michigan State in the 1970's. A college golf coach for over 10 years. I coached 2 touring professionals. I earned a Masters Degree from Michigan State in 1996. I became PGA Master Professional in 1996 - There are only 200 PGA Master *Professionals of 28,000 total.
I started playing golf at the age of 3 and my passion for the game quickly grew. I started playing professionally in 2013 and after some stints on mini-tours, I was making a living playing the game I loved. Something was missing though. When you start playing for your livelihood, you can lose that genuine childhood excitement that comes along with the greatest game on the planet. It was at that time, since I had done some teaching in the past, that I realized that passing my knowledge of the game along was what I was destined to do.
What types of students have you worked with?
Whether it is a 4 year old picking up a club for the first time, to an 84 year old that’s been playing his/her whole life, the expression of pure joy is priceless. I love being the facilitator to make that vision a reality. The beauty of this game is that every swing is like a snowflake. I’ve taught hundreds of golfers, from beginner to Q-School participants, and never seen an identical swing -nor will I.
What advice would you give aspiring students?
The key for those aspiring to be better is getting to know their swing and what causes it to work and what causes the less than desirable shots. Through this knowledge, every golfer can really embark on their journey to be the best that they can be!
