Being that I've participated in multiple sports I understand motion/range of motion. Everyone has thier own range of motion and I'm very good at identifying it which is key.

Lesson Philosophy: Most swing faults are the product of poor set-ups and balance. Putting the golfer in a better posture and balance will sometimes eliminate those faults. I stress the basics: grip, aim and posture. For the player whose skills are advanced, the stress is on the mental approach to the game.

I worked at Pasadena Yacht and Golf Club for 5 years teaching children from 4 years old and up.
For older more experienced players I do not mind 9 hole playing lessons while video taping swing or video on range lesson also. Good putting is a must so putting lessons are also available.

What or who inspired you to start teaching?
I was inspired to teach golf over 25 years ago when I saw PGA of America Hall of Famer, Manuel de la Torre, do a golf clinic and work with the participants. I had been around golf and read a lot about the golf swing but I never witnessed anyone have such success in teaching golf to a great variety of students.
I saw Manuel accomplish 3 things with every student:
1) they all hit better shots very quickly in the lesson,
2) they all had a clear understanding of what had to be done to produce those better shots, and
3) they all left their lesson with Manuel feeling, “I can do this!” Too often a golf student feels that this golf swing must be very difficult and maybe “I may not be capable of doing it.”
What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy giving lessons because of all of the concepts that I have learned from Manuel de la Torre, and several other teachers, so I am able to deliver the above mentioned 3 things that I saw Manuel do that first day. When my students experience good golf shots, improvement and can visualize themselves becoming a better golfer then I enjoy the lesson as much or more than they do!
Tell us about your passion for teaching
The golf teaching system and concepts that I have learned have helped me to work with Professionals who have won big events, have helped me work with youngsters who have gone on to get college scholarships, and work with “adult beginners” who have found how the game of golf can enhance many aspects of their lives. Such aspects include: social relationships, business success, physical and mental conditioning, family enjoyment and even spiritual experiences and/or it can just be fun in the beautiful outdoors.
What advice would you give aspiring students?
