Extremely knowledgeable and professional instructor. My son was always eager to go to lessons each week and I enjoyed hearing all his positive reinforcements with each of his students. He far exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond to help our son transition from Violin to Drums. Paul is always on time and excited to teach his students! I think that’s what makes him stand out. Wish I could give a Million stars!

When I sought out in search of a drum instructor, I knew I wanted someone to help take my playing to the next level. I knew I wanted someone who was not only technically skilled, but also passionate about the art of drumming so as to keep me motivated. Paul Marshall was that instructor. Drawing from over two decades of professional drumming experience, Paul commands a wealth of knowledge, both as a drummer and as an entrepreneur in the music industry. Despite his veteran status in the industry, his approach to teaching was different than I expected. Paul treated me as a peer, not just ‘some other student.’ Our lessons were collaborative. He would let me, as the student, dictate the direction of each lesson through free-flowing conversations. These discussions could range from hand technique to drum set hardware to questions about songwriting and the music industry as a whole. It was easy for Paul to create a lesson (or series of lessons) that was bespoke to my interests, creative mind, and the heart of my ‘inner drummer’ that made coming back each week something I really looked forward to. The hallmark of any good educator is the ability to impart factual knowledge while also letting the student know that they care. They care about who the student is, where they come from, and what drives them and resonates with them so that the educator can create an atmosphere that best facilitates their learning. As a student at a very prestigious private university, I know a good educator when I see one. Whether you are an experienced player or a total beginner, his unique approach makes Paul Marshall one of the best educators I have ever met. He helped take me to the next level; let him take you there, too.
