My son has been going to this place for almost two years. Coach Shaq has been BEYOND amazing with him. Always patient and kind. If you can afford to have private classes with him, don't hesitate. You won't regret it! He's worth every single penny. My son won't stop talking about him and admires him to no end. He has a way with kids and the way he teaches them technique is priceless. I would love my son to stay with this coach. I will keep paying for his private classes as long as I can because my son looks forward to them every single time!!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I always work patiently with each student to build confidence and water comfort. Here is what you can expect.

My method for infant swimming is very gentle and relaxes the baby with soothing movements like rocking and swaying teach skills, including rolling over into a back float, recover from a submersion, returning to the wall, climbing out, and more.

Preschool and School-Age swimming is fun! Water safety and all four strokes can be taught. Lessons include toys, games, and specialized swimming equipment to make learning fun and their skills soar!

Adults, are also fun to teach. In each lesson, skills are broken down into easy steps. I use simple science to help adults understand how to use the water's basic properties to float, kick, and swim with ease.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

As the national director, my career was as a professional swim coach and consultant for aquatics facilities. I am a fully certified USA Swim Coach, have taught and consulted in swimming for over 30 years, often spoken at conferences, and wrote many national curriculums for typical and adapted swimmers of all ages.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Because I teach here in south Florida's crazy weather, I prefer to do pay as you go. This way I don't owe you! You don't owe me! Lessons are $49 per 30 min. or $85 per hour.

How did you get started teaching?

I started at a YMCA in college.

What types of students have you worked with?

I am certified to work with all abilities for children and adults.
