What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We first work patiently with each student to build confidence and water comfort. Here is what you can expect:
For Infants - Our method for infant swimming is very gentle and relaxes the baby with soothing movements like rocking and swaying teach skills, including rolling over into a back float, recover from a submersion, returning to the wall, climbing out, and more.
For Preschool & School-Age swimming is fun! - Water safety, self rescue and all four strokes can be taught. Lessons include toys, games, and specialized swimming equipment to make learning fun and their skills soar!
Adults really enjoy our lessons. - In each lesson, skills are broken down into easy steps. I use simple science to help adults understand how to use the water's basic properties to float, kick, and swim with ease.
For Athletes - Do you need to work on a stroke - IM - turns & starts? We are coaches and can help you nail them all!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My career was as a professional swim coach, consultant for aquatics facilities and national director for SwimAmerica, I am a fully certified USA Swim Coach, have taught and consulted in swimming for over 30 years, often spoken at conferences, and wrote national curriculums for typical and adapted swimmers of all ages.

Because we teach here in south Florida's crazy weather, we prefer the pay as you go system using Venmo or Zelle. Our rates are:
$54 for 30 minutes - Infants only
$84 for 45 minutes - Tot's - Children and Adults
$99 for 60 minutes - Best for Sharing 30/30 min. Or a Child or Adult who desires a longer lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
I started at a YMCA in college and that swimming job grew into a wonderful career!
What types of students have you worked with?
I am certified to work with all abilities. I have worked with children and athletes of all ages at all levels as well as typical and special abilities.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
For the past few months I have been working with two 18 month old twins. They screamed and cried at first but now they swim and clapp for more! We have such fun together in the pool!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Swimming is easy to learn with an expert teacher. Find one and you will learn quickly and have fun!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Let the instructor know if you are fearful.
Let the instructor know if you have time or financial constraints. This way they can create a plan for a best outcome.
Talk freely with the instructor about how you are experience the lessons. This will help the instructor customize your lesson.
