About
I recently received the award 2023 Best of Davie in the Vocal Instructor category, and because it's my second year, I'm in the Davie Business Hall of Fame! I'm truly thrilled and honored. Another exciting award just arrived... Best Voice Lessons Provider Instructor 2023 in Southeast Florida from The New World Report!
We all have unique voices and abilities with different needs, styles, desires and goals. I can help you develop your particular style and range as a singer or speaker with your most authentic expression and grow your vocal power and confidence. As a teacher, performer and professional entertainer for many years (thousands of hours on stage and in the studio) in Los Angeles and South Florida, my approach as a voice and performance coach is holistic. As a performer I've entertained as a singer and dancer (7 seasons as a Miami HEAT Golden Oldies dancer!) in small rooms and arenas, and I can help you develop and hone your performance skills for any environment. We will enhance your skills in unexpected and remarkable ways, and you'll have fun doing it!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our initial meeting/lesson requires a little "pre-homework" for the student so I can understand their history and goals, some singing so I can hear their skill level, and some exercises to start.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've studied with great teachers (classical, contemporary, creative) and culled curriculum from the best over the decades. I've also spent 1000's of hours singing on stages and understand from very practical experience what transpires with the voice technically, physically, emotionally and creatively in practice and performance situations.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The first lesson is $60 and last 45-60 minutes.
60 minute lessons are $75.
45 minutes lessons are $65.
5 and 10 lesson packages are available for both.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching in Los Angeles many years ago, starting with a friend who asked for lessons. I was more focused on my performance and recording career then so didn't teach for long. When a friend in Florida asked for lessons, I started again.
What types of students have you worked with?
My students have ranged in age 6 to 76, novices and professionals, recording artists, pop, R&B, soul, rock, alt, gospel, country, metal, soca, electronic and musical theatre (to name a few).
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Singing is a very athletic endeavor when done correctly, and I just finished working with an Olympic swimmer who's also making electronic dance music (he's moving to New York and may do online lessons). The correlation manifested itself in so many ways, it was very cool to see his vocal development progress so quickly.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Take one lesson with me and see what happens. I'm proud of the progress my students have made and continue to make. I know I can help.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
It's helpful to think about your goals, budget, timeframe for lessons and practice, and schedule.
