I’d had 2 years of instruction prior to being referred to Bill from a sales person at Sam Ash Music as “ the guy you need to go to”. He taught me imore the first month of lessons than I’d learned in all of the years I’d played guitar. Other teachers would just show me a new chord or two every week, and we’d use them in a new song. In our first week Bill taught me how to look at a chord symbol , and it would tell me every note in the chord , and we went around the circle iof 5ths and played every major, maj7, 7 , minor, m7, augmented, and diminished chord there is- on a piano and a guitar- he opened the door to a whole universe of understanding that ,after 2 years of previous lessons ,I didn’t even know existed.
