Ty's Tennis Teaching
About
I was just recently certified through the USPTA (United States Professional Tennis Association) in June of 2020 as one of their professional instructors and have been working at the Jacksonville Golf and Country Club since. I played competitive junior tennis from the years of 2012-2015 and have continued to grow as a player ever since. I primarily work with students ages 6-10 but I also have a few students from the ages of 11-17 that play competitive tennis and I do weekly private lessons with them.
I love working with my students and seeing the progress they make as a player. The most satisfying part of being an instructor is seeing a player develop a love of tennis, and to grow into a stronger player under my tutelage.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step in working with a new student is always to gauge their ability level and to find out what their goals are for tennis. Depending on the ability level and goals I will craft a plan to help the player obtain the desired skill level.
