About
I have been a lifeguard and swim instructor for 25+ years. I'm fully certified and trained in CPR, first aid and lifesaving.
Small Classes: one-on-one or up to four students per class so that each student's individual needs can be met.
All Ages: Children ages 4+ and adults of all ages.
All Levels: Whether a student is a beginner, needs to improve their skills or are advanced swimmers who need coaching, I provide a class catered to every student's individual needs.
Our Pool or Yours?: All of our classes take place in our beautiful, outdoor pool in North Lauderdale. If you prefer, I can do classes in your pool too!
Teaching someone to swim prevents drowning, and also gives them a great way of staying healthy. I love seeing a person overcome their fear of the water. I enjoy watching people become confident in their skills and abilities.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I assess a student's skill level and their level of comfort in the water and I design a class catered to that student's individual needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a lifeguard with more than 25 years of experience in swim instruction. I am certified and experienced in all areas of water safety, rescue and first aid. My teaching method is gentle but direct and very effective at getting results.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I offer an introductory price for a first lesson/skill assessment. Prices can range from $35 - $50 per private lesson depending on the length of time. I offer a discounted rate (per person) for small groups and packages too.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students at every skill and experience level. I'm great with children who have a fear of water, helping them to reach a level of comfort and confidence in the water before teaching actual swimming skills. I've also worked with very experienced, skilled swimmers who were interested in refining their skills for competitive swimming, triathelons or to pass lifeguard or police exams in which a swimming test is required.
